A Wispr Flow alternative that you buy once
SaySo exists because its founder was a paying Wispr Flow user who loved the workflow and not the monthly bill. This page compares the two honestly — including what Wispr Flow does better.
The comparison

When Wispr Flow is the better choice
- You dictate on your phone. Wispr Flow has iOS and Android apps; SaySo is desktop-only.
- You want zero setup. Wispr needs no API key; SaySo's bring-your-own-key step, while guided, is a real step.
- You want a meeting notetaker or team/enterprise compliance features — SaySo doesn't have those.
- You dictate very little. Wispr's free plan (2,000 words/week on desktop) may simply be enough for you.
When SaySo makes more sense
- You dictate a lot, at a desk, and hate subscriptions. One $19.99 payment replaces $144–180 every year — the license costs about seven weeks of Pro.
- You want to own the pipeline. Your audio goes to your own Deepgram account, billed at provider rates (about 5¢ per 10 minutes), with no middleman markup and no SaySo servers involved.
- You want unlimited without a plan. There is no word cap — usage is simply what you pay your provider for.
- You write in Roman Urdu or Roman Hindi. SaySo can output both natively.
The honest bottom line
Wispr Flow is a polished product with a bigger feature surface — mobile apps, a notetaker, enterprise compliance. If those matter to you, pay for it happily. SaySo is for the person who dictates at a computer, wants clean text at the cursor, and would rather pay once and own their keys than rent the same core workflow month after month.
Try the pay-once way — 7-day money-back guarantee if it's not for you.
