Download SaySo
sayso.one is the official — and only — distribution site for SaySo. Current version: v0.5.0, released 4 August 2026. SaySo requires a license key (delivered by email after purchase) and your own Deepgram API key — the 2-minute key guide covers setup.

Download for MacWindows BETA · NOT CODE-SIGNED YET
Download for WindowsBecause this installer is not yet code-signed, Windows SmartScreen may show a blue “Windows protected your PC” box. That is expected for unsigned software: click More info → Run anyway. You can verify the file with its SHA-256 checksum above.
What SaySo needs, and why
- Microphone permission — to hear you while you hold the talk key.
- Accessibility permission (Mac) — to type text at your cursor and to detect your talk key while other apps are focused. Windows uses a standard keyboard hook for the same purpose.
- A global talk key — hold it (default: Right Option ⌥ on Mac, Caps Lock on Windows) and SaySo listens; release and your words are typed. You can pick any key in Settings, and double-tap to lock hands-free.
- Your own API keys — Deepgram (required, speech-to-text; about 30¢ per hour of actual CONTINUOUS talking — billed only while the talk key is held — with free credit for new accounts) and Groq (optional, AI cleanup; free tier with published limits). Billed by those providers to your accounts, at their rates — SaySo adds no markup. Full costs on the BYOK page.
- An internet connection while dictating — there is no offline mode.
Install
Mac
- Open SaySo-mac.dmg and drag SaySo into Applications.
- Launch SaySo from Applications. It opens without warnings — the app is signed and notarized by Apple.
- Follow the built-in setup: paste your license key, allow Microphone and Accessibility when asked, add your API keys (the key guide shows every click), and try your first dictation.
Windows
- Run SaySo-windows.exe. If SmartScreen appears, click More info → Run anyway (see the note above).
- Follow the installer, then launch SaySo.
- Same built-in setup: license key, API keys, first dictation.
Uninstall
Mac
- Quit SaySo: menu-bar icon → Quit.
- Drag SaySo from Applications to the Trash.
Windows
- Quit SaySo from its tray icon.
- Settings → Apps → Installed apps → SaySo → Uninstall.
Removing your data too (optional)
Uninstalling removes the application but deliberately leaves your data, in case you reinstall. To erase everything:
- History, settings & dictionary — Mac: in Finder press ⌘⇧G and go to
~/Library/Application Support/com.sayso.app, then delete that folder. Windows: delete thecom.sayso.appfolder inside%APPDATA%. - API keys & license — Mac: open Keychain Access, search
com.sayso.app, and delete the entries. Windows: Control Panel → Credential Manager → Windows Credentials → remove thecom.sayso.appentries.
Your Deepgram and Groq accounts are yours and are not affected by any of this. To move SaySo to a new computer instead, deactivate the license in Settings first — one license covers two devices.
